While [these homeowners] relished the feel of the logs around them, rustic was not their style. They left wondering if they could build something of their own with a more contemporary flair. Not long after, they challenged the architects and builders at Alpine Log Homes to find out. The result was this twentieth-century home that builds on a discriminating, monochromatic theme. With natural "sun-washed" colors throughout, the home exudes serene, sophisticated elegance.
